Entry Door Staining & Exterior Painting in Turlock

Fantazia-Exterior-Turlock-Lancaster-Painting-1This project included staining the front door and repainting the home exterior.

Our Painting Process

We began by cleaning the exterior stucco, preparing and priming the surfaces. Then we used 2 coats of SW A-100 Satin paint for the home exterior.

Lancaster-Painting-Door-Staining-TurlockThe homeowner also wanted her front entry door stained, so we used a Wood Kote Golden Oak Stain gel stain and a clear coat finish to seal and protect the surface.

Repaint of Turlock Community Service Building

Recently we were hired to paint the complete exterior of the community service building here in Turlock. This building was run down and needed a face-lift.

We used Sherwin Williams A-100 flat paint in Oatmeal Cookie 13 TUR 171 for the body, and A-100 flat Red Vine 13 TUR 168 for the trim.

Now the service building has an attractive exterior rather than a dilapidated appearance. The customer gave us all A’s on our report card and a 10 out of 10. They also said they would recommend us to family and friends, and commented “GREAT JOB!”

3rd Annual Paint it Forward

Walden FamilyThe winners of our Paint it Forward nomination this year were Elizabeth Walden and Neil Berry of Oakdale. They have two children and spend countless hours helping out their community. Elizabeth is known as the “theater queen” and spends hundreds of hours volunteering at Oakdale schools. She single handedly created and runs an after-school drama program with a full length play every year for Oakdale students. She volunteers in classrooms, assists teachers whenever she can, and is always there for her children and community.

Our Lancaster Painting crew enjoyed working together to repaint their home. Visit the Turlock Journal to read a full article on the painting event!

Interior Painting and Wallpaper Removal

This month we completed a project where we were asked to repaint three of the downstairs rooms. Two of the rooms had old and fading wallpaper which we removed. Then, we painted the homeowner’s great room, kitchen, laundry room and bathroom.

We painted the walls in the laundry room and bathroom a neutral color of SW 6164 Svelte Sage. In the great room we painted the walls with SW 7617 Mediterranean and in the Kitchen we used SW 6108 Latte. We applied two coats in each room, and each paint was an eggshell sheen.

The customer left us a feedback report card with all A’s. Their comments were: “This is the 2nd time I’ve used Lancaster Painting and I’m once again very pleased. Sergio was timely and very responsive. The work is fabulous and I would definitely recommend to others.”

If you have interior painting or wallpaper removal needs, contact us online or call us at 209-634-1111.

Turlock Plaza Painting Project

The Turlock Plaza has been run-down and unused for years, so we were excited to repaint the plaza and transform it’s appearance from dusty and dilapidated to clean and fresh.

We washed the gray cement and prepped the surfaces before repainting with a fresh new tan color. We used white trim as an accent to help make the gray brick stand out. We applied two coats of flat paint. The colors we selected were: 7534 Outerbanks for body, and 36 Navajo White for the trim.

After the renovation, the Turlock Plaza is now shining and back to being used!

Refinishing of Conference Room Table in Turlock

before refinishing

before refinishing

Lancaster Painting recently was awarded the project to strip and re-stain a conference room table. The table, as seen in this post was a honey oak color. The owners wanted the table to be more of a dark cherry color.

This process involved using a chemical stripper to remove the stain and clear coat. Then our stain master had to custom mix the stain to achieve the right color. After applying the acrylic, polyurethane gel stain, our crews finished with applying several coats of clear and durable lacquer. We also sanded in between lacquer coats.

The finish product is what appears to be a new conference table. The pricing to refinish the table is a faction of the cost to replacing it with something new. So Lancaster Painting was able to save our customer thousands of dollars by taking something old and making it look new.

Whatever your painting or staining needs maybe, contact Lancaster Painting for those of you who live or do work in the greater Turlock, Modesto or Stockton areas.

Epoxy Floor Coating Project in Ripon

Before Epoxy

Before Epoxy

Recently we completed a project at the VFW in Ripon. They hired us to refinish the interior flooring of the bar area. We started by clearing out the area, applying protection to surrounding surfaces, and then by preparing the surface for the epoxy coating. We applied two coats of epoxy coating with a fine density of an earth-tone flake blend to achieve a lustrous appearance. We finished the surface with a clear epoxy coat for a smooth finish.

We were happy to work with VFW of Ripon, and we were pleased that they loved the work.

Lancaster Painting serves Turlock, Modesto, and the surrounding areas of Central Valley. If you have flooring or painting needs, contact us online or call us at 209-634-1111.

Repainting Kitchen Cabinets in Turlock

After Repainting

After Repainting

A homeowner recently hired us to “freshen-up” his kitchen by repainting the cabinets with their same light-green finish. We prepared the cabinets by lightly sanding and cleaning, then we applied Benjamin Moore’s Advance® Gloss Paint. Semi and high-gloss paints work well for kitchen cabinets because the glossier the sheen, the easier the surface is to clean.

After finishing the job, we were happy to receive a customer feedback card with all A’s, saying they would recommend us to friends and family. We are glad they were pleased with results.

To keep a kitchen looking “fresh,” the cabinets should be refinished every 4-5 years. Kitchen cabinets play a significant role in the overall appearance of a kitchen, so it’s important to maintain their quality. If your kitchen cabinets are in need of repair or refinishing, schedule a free estimate online, or give us a call at 209-634-1111. We serve Turlock, Modesto, and the surrounding cities of Central Valley.
