We've said it before and we'll definitely say it again: we enjoy painting cabinetry ! It’s a satisfying kind of project, allowing for a total transformation and customized style to flow right through the kitchen in a short amount of time. In addition, it can provide you with a practically unrecognizable space for a fraction of the cost that goes along with a complete cabinet replacement.
As a case in point, join us for a brief look at a project we finished recently in Modesto.
Our client’s kitchen, as you can see below, was simply in need of a little refreshing.
We got to work by preparing the surface, then laying down a coat of primer. We followed that with two topcoats of Sherwin Williams’ 7557 Summer White , taking the woodwork from a forgettable stained finish to a beautiful, classic style.
Then, as an added customized look, we antiqued the paint right along the lines of the original decorative design work on the front of the cabinets. The process added an extra level of depth to the overall effect, and an element of rustic, weathered charm that pairs perfectly with the crisp brightness of the color scheme.
You’ll also notice that underneath the kitchen island we used a dark brown on the woodwork, just as a source of contrast.
What do you think of how it all turned out? We’re proud of the drastic change, and truly enjoyed the opportunity to finish this project for our client to their exact specifications.
We would love to discuss your project with you! Whether it involves cabinet painting, or another kind of interior or exterior work entirely, we are ready and willing to help however we can.
