Cabinet painting is hugely popular, and for good reason. It’s a fun, much simpler alternative to completely replacing your kitchen (or bathroom) cabinetry, and it offers an equally satisfying transformation. On another practical note, it’s also a more cost-effective option.
Just in case you need one more benefit to fully convince you, painting cabinets is also a faster process than a new installation. That means less time operating without the full use of your kitchen. Especially if you have a busy family, you definitely know how valuable that is.
In this particular case, our Riverbank client wanted to update their kitchen’s style, steering away from the stained look and landing instead on a crisp, clean, and brighter finish.
We were happy to help!
The Cabinet Painting Process
Here are the steps we took:
- First we removed the doors
- The surfaces were thoroughly cleaned and degreased for long-lasting, durable paint adhesion
- We lightly sanded the wood
- We primed the surface, then painted it with two coats of Cabinet Coat (an ideal product for this purpose)
- The color was matched to Sherwin-Williams’ Pure White (SW7005)
What Do You Think of the Transformation?
Here are a few before/after photos to show you exactly what kind of difference this update made.
