In all honesty, if we could somehow fly you (or drive you) to our Paint It Forward charity painting events, we would. And not just because an extra set of hands is always helpful.
Why?
Well, because there really is a unique quality to the day that is difficult to express unless you have the privilege of rolling up your sleeves and grabbing a paintbrush. Seeing people coming together to help a friend, neighbor, or family member who has faced struggles and hardship is truly beautiful, and being a part of it is a gift in itself.
Meet Silviano, This Year’s Recipient
For the sake of Silviano’s privacy, suffice it to say that he has faced a number of trials and setbacks recently. Despite all that has worked against him, he remains a dedicated father and a hard worker.
The goal of our Paint It Forward events is to meet a tangible need, lifting some of the burden from the recipient’s shoulders. In this case, Silviano’s home was in need of paint and repair. It was our privilege to step in and help.
In a larger sense, we also hope that these events will serve as a reminder that they are cared for, seen, and that the local community has their back.
Interior Painting, Exterior Painting, and a Whole Lot of Fun
About 50 people were in attendance this year, filling the property with not only able hands but also a sense of excitement. The day would hold a huge transformation for the property. Our team even brought their families, in some ways making it feel like a productive, fun company picnic. Silviano’s family was there as well, including his youngest daughter.
Our work encompassed exterior painting , including repairs on the back of the house, and nearly comprehensive http://www.lancasterpainting.com/services/interior-painting-1/ too. Steve, owner of Lancaster Painting, also leveled the back steps, allowing the door to open and close more freely.
What’s Next?
With this year’s Paint It Forward behind us, we wish Silviano and his family only the best. We also would like to thank our team for their help, commitment, and contagious enthusiasm throughout the entire day.
