If you’re a Modesto local, you may have noticed that the historic Dietrich Manor recently experienced quite a transformation.
And, if you follow us on Facebook , you also know by now that we had the privilege of facilitating this well-known home’s radical restoration. The process was a lot of fun, and we’ve enjoyed the virtual high-fives from our fans online who are loving the improved view during their trips around town.
Because of the buzz that this house painting project has created, we thought we’d share a few photos and behind-the-scenes details.
The property’s current owner, James Dietrich (yes, he’s a descendant of the original owners !), contacted us for an estimate initially. Toby, one of our Sales Representatives, met with him to take a closer look and discuss the scope of the necessary work.
Fast forward just a bit, and the progress was well under way. As an interesting side note, the historical society at Modesto Junior College helped us with some of the arduous scraping prep work. Their helping hands were appreciated!
With the necessary prep completed, we applied two coats of Kelly Moore Kel-Bond primer, patched some of the rougher spots with One Pass, and then topped those rougher sections with Sherwin-Williams Rejuvenate as well. Sherwin-Williams’ Duration was used for the finish coat.
Every home we have the privilege to paint is special, but enhancing and protecting this beautiful, well-recognized, historic property was particularly exciting. We also appreciated James’ kind feedback that he shared about his experience with us:
As always, if you have questions about your own home painting project here in the Central Valley area, give us a call ! We look forward to serving you however we can.
