The incredibly dry nature of this spring season has left a lot of homeowners wondering exactly how best to care for their property, and whether or not the time is still right for their exterior painting project.
These are good questions!
You may recall that we recently shared an article about how to landscape while still saving water ( click here to take a look if you missed it). We thought that now, however, might be a good time to address the question of whether or not your exterior painting project is feasible.
In a perfect world, exterior painting should be done when the temperature is between 60 and 85 degrees. This provides for ideal adhesion because the paint won’t dry more quickly than it should. While we may currently be on the higher end of the spectrum, our local temperatures are still perfectly fine for quality painting.
In recent years the improvement and advancement of available formulas also has allowed for more flexibility when it comes to outdoor painting conditions.
